WHO AM I?

By Andrea B. Matambo
I am -the word slinger
Born and bred in Kanyama.
I would have been a rap singer
My bad, became a bard, dodge’ the drama.
I am -the light chaser
Scribe ’till I die for my mama.
Ni rhyme che na Lesa!
Poetic license bend the grammar.
I am -God’s favourite Poet.
You know I sting when I sling ding
Plus I punchline like Floyd;
I am the only Cassius Clay in this ring.
I am -the dream
Rest in peace to Martin Luther King.
My eyes -the gleam.
The Oracle says, “you haven’t seen a thing!”
